Why Make a Gift? Our Commitment To You.
Rabbi Chaim Vital
Rabbi Vital who recorded the teachings of the Arizal, tells us: My master said that every commandment is associated with one of the twenty-two letters [of the Hebrew alphabet], and that when someone performs a commandment, the letter associated with that commandment shines on his forehead, replacing the letter shining on his forehead from the previous commandment he performed. [The letter remains on his forehead] only as long as he is performing the commandment [with which it is associated]; afterwards it is absorbed within [him]...
But if he performs the commandment of charity, the letter associated with it does not disappear as fast as the letters associated with other commandments, but rather continues to shine on his forehead the whole week.
This is the mystical meaning of the verse, "His righteousness [tzedaka] endures forever" (Psalms 111:3, 112:3, 9).Translated and adapted by Moshe-Yaakov Wisnefsky from Likutei Torah, Shaar HaMitzvot.

Our traditions hold that Tzedakah elevates the soul and impacts the body.
It is worthwhile to spend a few minutes and read through the a more in-depth reading of "Why Make a Gift?".
The Talmud writes that "Acts of Tzedakah" are equal in weight to all the commandments.
A contribution (either single or recurring) gives you a share in all the learning mitzvahs that occur when you and others watch or study our video's, audio and text.
Regardless of your level of knowledge or observance there is an additional merit when you allow someone else to learn.
When someone mentions our site to another and as a result that person learns - then the value to you is now exponential. if this new person supports us, then the scales of merit proliferate and disseminate new lights and worlds beyond description - this is in your merit.
Each time you give - called an act of Tzedakah - the scales of Rachamim (Mercy) open and harsh decrees can be mitigated and lessened. G-d infuses the world every moment with His divine energy. Tzedakah is one of the special and significant ways to create an all encompassing Mitzvah. Our sages teach us the importance of this Mitzvah, that in its merit, our sages tell us: “Great is charity, for it hastens the Redemption!”
It is well known that "givers continue to give" - this means that by your act you can influence others to give as well - not just to us but to any worthy organization or person in need.
